Hi, I'm Jack Sowler. I currently work in energy modelling, where I spend my time working out how the power system behaves — and how it pays for itself.

This site is where I think out loud. I'm interested in a good deal more than electricity markets: data and visualisation, AI, climate and climate policy, the occasional bit of science, and — when the mood takes me — a sport project or two. Some of that becomes writing; some of it becomes an interactive project you can actually poke at.

My aim with everything here is the same: take something complex and make it genuinely explorable, rather than just described.
